Dasamuka

Dasamuka DASAMUKA or Rahwana is the son of Resi Wisrawa and Dewi Sukesi, the daughter of Prabu Sumali as the king of Alengka. He has three brothers, they are: Arya Kumbakarna, Dewi Sarpakenaka and Arya Wibisana. Dasamuka also has half brother namely Wisrawana/Prabu Danaraja, the king of Lokapala, as the son of Resi Wisrawa and Dewi Lokawati.

Dasamuka has characters greedy, egoist, betrayal and torturer, dare to and always follow his conscience. He is powerful and has magic of Rawarontek from Prabu Danaraja and magic of Pancasona from Resi Subali. Dasamuka became the king of Alengka replace his grandfather, Prabu Sumali by removing his uncle, Prahasta. He was killing his half brother, Prabu Danaraja, and grab Lokapala country.

Dasamuka had been attacking Suralaya and getting Dewi Tari, the daughter of Batara Indra and Dewi Wiyati. Later, Dewi tari became his wife and has a son namely Indrajid/Megananda. Dasamuka was also married with Dewi Urangrayung, the daughter of Bagawan Minalodra, and has a son namely Pratalamayam. From the others wives, Dasamuka has four sons they are: Yaksadewa, Trisirah, Trimuka and Trimurda. Dasamuka wishing to has a wife as the incarnation of Bathari Sri Widowati. He had already pursued Dewi Kusalya, mother of Prabu Rama, and then he was kidnapping Dewi Sinta, wife of Prabu Rama during 12 years in Hargaloka park state of Alengka.

The power and covetousness of Prabu Dasamuka was only could defeated by Prabu Arjunasasra, the king of Maespati and Resi Subali as the priest of monkey from asceticism of Sonyapringga. Finally, Prabu Dasmuka must die by Prabu Ramawijaya, the knight as the incarnation of Batara Wisnu. All of his powers were destroyed by the power of arrow Gowawijaya.
